Black Fly Outfitter, the fly shop for North Florida, is a full service technical fly shop specializing in saltwater flies, custom fly kits, fly rods, fly reels and clothing for tropical fly fishing destinations around the world. What started out as Vaughn Cochran's marine art gallery years ago has turned into one of the most unique destination fly shops in the U.S. Vaughn's contemporary fishing art is recognized the world over and it's all available here in his eclectic fly shop in Jacksonville, Florida. Black Fly features all the recognized brands of fly fishing gear that you would expect to find in an upscale fly shop including Abel, Hardy, Nautilus, Okuma, Ross, Sage, Tibor, & Waterworks-Lamson fly reels. We carry fine fly rods by Hardy/Grey, G Loomis, Orvis, Sage, Thomas & Thomas and TFO. Other brands you might recognize in our fly shop are Simms, Columbia Sportswear, Patagonia and of course all of Vaughn's Black Fly shirts and gear plus his licensed products like Buff, Croakies, Clear Creek Bags, M-Clips and Wildlife Pins. Simms Fishing Products and Blackfly are partners in more ways than just sharing logos. Vaughn Cochran has recently signed a licensing contract with Simms to create his special artwork on Simms products. Additionally, Black Fly will be producing special designs on selected Simms fishing gear for research and development of Vaughn's design ideas.
